Mike's love for cars began in 1976 when he was 14 years old. He began working at his father's Auto repair shop, which was located at the corner of Foothill and Campus in Upland. Mike worked side by side with his father Akbar, learning everything he could and became a very good mechanic at a young age. In 2003 Mike decided it was time to open his own shop, Akbar Auto Service on Benson in Upland. This shop thrived for many years, but due to a divorce in 2015, Mike lost control of his business.. He was devastated by this loss and decided to open a new shop in Orange County. Even though his new shop was successful Mike knew there was something missing. He was missing his hometown Upland. He took a leap of faith and moved back to Upland to open Mike Akbar Auto Service in Jan 2024. Once again Mike has poured his heart and soul into a new business and hopes he can earn your trust once again.
